Curse you TVR for not letting the general public have this.

It’s not TVRs fault, this isn’t a TVR.
It's made by TR-Supercars who have some of TVRs former engineers and designers.

It is TVRs fault. It says right there on TR-Ps website that this car exists because TVR never offered or officially raced the Speed 12.

It did some races.
https://www.tvr-car-club.co.uk/tvr-speed-12.html
TVR never put it into production for a few reasons,
FIA GT Championship rules,
Too powerful engine for it’s class,
Peter Wheeler took one of the finished prototypes home and deemed it ‘too powerful and wild for the road’, so protot y pes were cannibalised for other TVR race cars.
Only one prototype made it into production and sold to a TVR vetted enthusiast, W112BHG (though there are two, how the second came about, I don’t know) .
There is a replica (DVLC list it as a TBR 612 Tempest) made by a company in Lytham, Helical Technology Ltd . Powered by an Aston Martin V12.
I think the original road car looked the best .
Looking up TVRs, it’s history, what happened afterwards with the engineers, the already built parts and bodies, etc... is like falling down into a maze of intrigue.

I...had no idea there were replicas and whatnot being made.

There are replicas, kits, companies either making or contracted to make TVRs, many are made by former TVR engineers, craftsmen, etc...
The TVR history is a rabbit warren with elements going here there and everywhere.
The U.K. has an incredibly rich history of the motorcar but most people only know about 20% (it that) of the companies that existed or are currently still going.
Just a few current ones.

Awesome. Where’s the coverage though? I’d love to see that Speed 12 Turbo on the Top Gears. Or at least somewhere on Youtube. I want to see the thing run, dammit.
I’ve found 1 vid that I’ll watch, but that’s not enough.

Many are small scale and niche sports cars, some are similar to what caterham and Westfield offer or Morgan.
TR-Supercars Speed 12
TVR Speed 12, number 1
TVR Speed 12 number 2, powered by an 7.7 V12 from an Aston Martin Vanquish.
TVR Tempest Speed 12 replica, also powered by an Aston Martin V12 engine (no video)
